We got home from Anguilla Saturday night. We were expecting some snow on Sunday night/ Monday morning. Sure enough, it started snowing late that afternoon.
John had to bring in some reinforcements
And it kept coming...
And coming!
They were already out of school that Monday (1/15) for Presidents Day, but they ended up staying out of school until the following Tuesday (1/23). The streets were awful all week, made worse by freezing rain mid week. They could have gone back on Monday, but because of frozen/ burst pipes, the school had too low water pressure to come back on Monday.
We got HG out of the house twice the whole week.

HG was asked to babysit a neighbor up that big hill on Thursday. I couldn't drive up it, so I parked at the bottom and watched her skate up it. (No laughing, I promise, kinda)
The snow was so fluffy all week that we couldn't build snowmen or snowballs with it. Finally, by Friday, it got a little bit more manageable.

John flew back into town from LA on Friday, and he was treated to this view.
Saturday night, we got out to celebrate Jennifer's birthday at Grisanti's. A water boil advisory didn't hold us back!
