Weekend with Maple Bear

It was Helen Grace’s turn to bring home her class bear last weekend, Maple, and we {and by ‘we,’ I mean ‘I’} were charged with the task of creating a poster to document our adventures from the weekend and writing an entry in his class notebook. This goes down as ‘my’ first homework assignment in Helen Grace’s school career, and even though I waited until the very last minute to pull out my scrapbooking supplies, I really enjoyed doing it and loved seeing how proud HG was of it. :)

Grandma, Peggy, and HG took Maple Bear to the pumpkin patch Thursday afternoon to pick out a pumpkin.IMG_1067 IMG_1079 Maple joined in on our traditional Thursday night dinner at Seafood Junction with Bubba. He may or may not smell a bit like catfish…20121025_180930 P1030110 He came along to see Dr. Vargo on Friday, and HG got to hear his heartbeat.dr dr2 He helped her with her first official homework assignment…IMG_2895 …which wore them both OUT! Helen Grace was so brave and rode all the rides (that’s her in the green twirly thing), but Maple was tooooo scared.IMG_2908IMG_2907IMG_2901 He had fun on the playground though.IMG_2918 The finished productposter
