To Oxford, We Go!

Last Friday, Helen Grace and Bubba went with me to Oxford for the day. I met with some of my Delta Gamma officers while Helen Grace dragged Bubba around the DeeGee house and flirted with all the college girls. I was working in the chapter room but would see glimpses of them sitting in the parlor chatting with our house mother or one of the girls or would hear their voices and giggles drifting in- very sweet experience. Also, Bubba proudly showed off her note from DG’s Executive Offices that she received for reaching the 70-year alum mark! After our requisite pics in the Founders Room and front porch rockers, we met Mere Mere at Ajax, followed by yogurt at YaYa’s. {We had a celebrity moment when the owners of YaYa’s took our pic and posted it on their Facebook page- haha!} Of course, HG was snoring by the time we made it to Abbeville- the icing on the top of a wonderful day with some of my favorite ladies!

As a side note, after seeing these pics of HG on the porch, I drove straight to Hairlines after dropping off Bubba. It was time for a haircut. Pronto. She was MAD when she woke up and realized where she was, but once I got her inside, she calmed down and sat on my lap like a big girl. She even let them do the back part and was certainly cheered up with Spiffer came to the rescue!
