Eskimo Kisses from a 20-Month Old

Our little baby girl is now 20 months old. Here’s what she’s up to…

  • What color is Barney? “Purple”  She also says a lot of things are “blue.”
  • “What’s that?” And when you answer her, “Oooooh” or “O-kaaaaayy”
  • “You scare me!” (whether you scared her or she scared you)
  • “I got you!”
  • “Peeeeezzz” and a version of Thank you
  • “We find it!”
  • “Stop,” “Sorry,” “Go,” “Help,” “Jump” (while hopping), “Mine” (which we hear a LOT), “Pre-tty”
  • “Cheers” (and clinks her cup with yours)
  • She’s started calling her lovie, “Bunny,” and she’s finally said “Spiffer” with clarity. She’s been saying Peggy, and every now and then, she’ll say something close to Granddaddy and Grandma.
  • Loves to take a bath (she’ll even ask for it- will walk you to the tub), to put on *lipstick* (a.k.a. chap stick), and to chase balloons and bubbles; hates to clip her fingernails, to brush her hair, and to wear socks.
  • Her last bottom teeth (other than her second set of molars- these are the pointy ones on either side of the four middle ones) are finally almost in.
  • She will put herself to sleep. After we finish reading books, she hops off my lap and walks over to her bed.
  • She’ll tell you that she got her “hair cut.”
  • She’s still a big Mama’s girl.
  • She knows all the basic animal names and noises.
  • Barney, Olivia, and Wonder Pets are still her favorite shows.

She’s obviously pretty excited to see her mommy and daddy after all that time apart. :)
