SNOW

All weekend long, we have been eagerly awaiting the snow that was predicted for this afternoon. I was trying to be realistic so that I wasn’t disappointed, but I really had my hopes up that the snow would actually materialize. After making a frantic run for snow boots and jackets this morning, we spent the rest of the day snuggling and watching out the window for the magic white stuff. We went to Grandma’s for chili for dinner, and sure enough, around 6:00 p.m., we started to see some BIG flakes…praise the Lord! By the time we got out to the car to leave, the snow was really coming down. Helen Grace was adorable, reaching out for it and staring up at the sky. When we got home, we ran around the driveway, and she kept squealing and doing her happy dance. Even though her teeth were chattering, she didn’t want to come inside. We had to finally pick her up, kicking and screaming. All of the schools have cancelled for tomorrow and the snow is still pouring down from the sky, and I am so excited about bundling up and playing in the snow with her tomorrow!snugglesnowCIMG7244 CIMG7245 CIMG7246
