Patriotic Parade

As part of sweet Caroline’s birthday festivities, Helen Grace got to be in her first parade on Saturday. What a fun celebration of Caroline’s first year of life and also the 4th of July! We met at Doty’s house and then joined the High Point neighborhood parade. Everyone was decked out in red, white, and blue, and there were flags everywhere you turned. So neat to see the neighborhood and the kids get so into it, and it was fun to parade through the streets with the birthday girl and our friends. Since we are on hiatus from our weekly FTM meetings, it was much needed catch-up time for me, and Helen Grace rode happily in her Cozy Coupe for the entire route. (I was very impressed, especially since she rejected her morning nap. Her pink hippo, a bottle of juice, and some snacks kept her preoccupied.) A great time was had by all! Happy birthday, Caroline!!!
